Softball Recap: Beaufort Takes a Loss

Woodland hit Beaufort with a five-run third inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 10-1 to the Wolverines. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Aliyah Aiken spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and eight unearned) runs on 11 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beaufort saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caylin Adkins, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Beaufort's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Woodland, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Beaufort will host Bishop England at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodland, they will challenge Cane Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
