Baseball Recap: Frisco Gets the Win

Frisco won the last time they faced Centennial and things went their way on Thursday too. The Raccoons won by a run and slipped past the Titans 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raccoons.

Dominic Floyd spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Jorge Villarreal was excellent, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Frisco: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Jayson Bustamante was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Frisco now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Centennial, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frisco will host Sherman at 1:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Centennial, they will welcome Lebanon Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
