Volleyball Game Preview: Steele Canyon Cougars vs. El Capitan Vaqueros

The Steele Canyon Cougars will face off against the El Capitan Vaqueros at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Steele Canyon is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since April 4th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Monte Vista. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steele Canyon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-20.

Meanwhile, El Capitan earned a 3-1 victory over West Hills on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vaqueros.

El Capitan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-23.

Steele Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for El Capitan, they pushed their record up to 20-13 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.
