Softball Recap: Eastmont Wildcats vs. Ephrata Tigers
Eastmont had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the Ephrata Tigers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Brittany Howe made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
