Providence Classical had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They blew past the Round Top-Carmine Cubs 3-0. This was payback for the Paladins, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Providence Classical never let Round Top-Carmine on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-12, 26-24.

Providence Classical's win bumped their record up to 14-8-1. As for Round Top-Carmine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Providence Classical will host Houston Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Round Top-Carmine, they will welcome Prairie Lea at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The contest will give the Cubs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
