Recap: Heart Butte Warriors vs. Two Eagle River Eagles
While it was all tied up 42-42 at halftime, the Heart Butte Warriors were not quite the Two Eagle River Eagles's equal in the second half on Tuesday. Heart Butte fell to Two Eagle River 86-80. Heart Butte was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Two Eagle River apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2021.
Two Eagle River's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Talon Addison, who scored 19 points. Malacye Piapot was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Heart Butte and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Two Eagle River, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Heart Butte will be playing at home against Great Falls Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Great Falls Central Catholic has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 9. As for Two Eagle River, they will head out on the road to challenge Charlo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Charlo's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
