Springfield won the last time they faced Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop and things went their way on Saturday too. The Tigers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Thunderbirds.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.

Kendall Krueger paced Springfield's offense, picking up eight kills. Krueger got some help from Sophie Mude and her 18 assists.

Springfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-14-1.

Looking ahead, Springfield will head out to challenge Wabasso at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop, they will be playing at home against Madelia at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
