Basketball Game Preview: Valley Pirates vs. Hopi Bruins

Valley and Hopi are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Valley Pirates will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Hopi Bruins at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Valley was fully in charge, breezing past Many Farms 74-43. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Meanwhile, Hopi entered their tilt with Ganado on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hornets, sneaking past 45-43. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bruins have posted since December 1, 2023.

Valley is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.2 points per game. As for Hopi, their victory bumped their record up to 10-13.

Valley strolled past Hopi in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 58-40. Does Valley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hopi turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
