             Kossuth is 2-8 against Alcorn Central since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Kossuth Aggies will face off against the Alcorn Central Bears. Kossuth is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
 Kossuth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Saturday. They blew past Humphreys County 3-0.
 Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Kossuth took every set by at least 16 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-1, 25-9,  25-4.
 Kossuth's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Brenyn Wilbanks, who  had 19  aces, a  kill,  and 17  assists, and   Chloe Caldwell, who  had six  aces. Wilbanks is  on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted 17 or more in the last nine games she's  played dating back to last season.
 Kossuth  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 39  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in 24 consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Alcorn Central, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Nettleton on Saturday as Alcorn Central made off with  a  3-0 win.
 Alcorn Central never let Nettleton on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19,  25-22.
 Kossuth has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 15 of their last 16 games,  which provided a nice bump to their 29-9 record  this season. As for Alcorn Central, they pushed their record up to 25-9 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Kossuth suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Alcorn Central  when the teams last played  back in August. Can Kossuth avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
