Football Recap: Discovery Christian Takes a Loss

Discovery Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Centreville Academy Tigers, falling 58-32. Even if Discovery Christian couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Discovery Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Centreville Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Discovery Christian will challenge rival Canton Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Centreville Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Manchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
