The Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes will face off against The Woodlands Highlanders at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Duncanville sitting on five straight victories and The Woodlands on seven.

Duncanville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 39-38 win over Sachse. Given the Panthers and Pantherettes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Mustangs are ranked 45th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Trystan James was the offensive standout of the game as she dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in steals (five). Samari Holmen was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Meanwhile, The Woodlands didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bridgeland on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 73-67 victory.

Duncanville's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points over those games. As for The Woodlands, their victory bumped their record up to 24-10.
