Softball Recap: Palmer Bulldogs vs. South Hills Scorpions

Palmer was the 7-3 winner over South Hills when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Palmer Bulldogs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Hills Scorpions on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly three runs.

Kenli Dobie was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off eight hits. Dobie was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Dobie wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Corie Caldwell, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Kyelee Bost also deserves some recognition as she stole her first stolen base of the season.
