After flying high against Sachse on Friday, Wylie came back down to earth. The Pirates fell just short of the North Forney Falcons by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Pirates' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Wylie took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 25-22, 20-25, 25-17, 17-15.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Royal, who had 37 assists and eight digs. Royal has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more assists the last four times she's played. Jolene Bao was another key player, getting 20 digs and two assists.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 19-12. As for North Forney, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-9.

Wylie has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against South Garland on the 26th. As for North Forney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Forney on the 26th.
