Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson lost against Prairie back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Jefferson lost to Prairie at home by a 64-47 margin. While losing is never fun, Jefferson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Prairie is ranked 11th).

Jefferson is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17. As for Prairie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

While Jefferson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
