Football Recap: Booker T. Washington Finds Playoff Glory Versus Hallandale + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Booker T. Washington rose to the challenge on Thursday. They walked away with a 33-22 win over the Hallandale Chargers. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tornadoes needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Booker T. Washington found their leader in sophomore Wryan Jenkins, who threw for 294 yards and three TDs while completing 80% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Jenkins is becoming a predictor of the Tornadoes' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 0-7 when he doesn't). Fredner Fredric J was Jenkins' top target, picking up 84 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Booker T. Washington didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Hallandale to a completion percentage of just 47.1%. The Tornadoes are a perfect 3-0 when they limit the passing game like that.

Booker T. Washington didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Ty'Rel Snelling, Naykeem Adderly, and Eric McDaniel picked up one apiece.

Booker T. Washington's record is now 3-8. As for Hallandale, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Booker T. Washington will face off against North Miami Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tornadoes are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Hallandale does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
