Basketball Recap: Oswego Takes a Loss

Oswego was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 52-40 to the St. Paul Indians. Oswego was not able to make up for their defeat to St. Paul from their previous meeting back in February.

Despite the loss, Oswego saw an underclassman step up: freshman Madison Foster dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. Those ten boards set a new season-high mark for Foster. Jaycee Schulz was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven steals and six boards.

Oswego's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for St. Paul, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-1.

Oswego is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will square off against Crest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Paul, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Central Heights at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
