Soccer Game Preview: Raymond/South Bend vs. Rochester

The Raymond/South Bend Ravens will face off against the Rochester Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Raymond/South Bend comes in on 13 and Rochester on three.

Raymond/South Bend's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Ilwaco. Raymond/South Bend's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last six contests.

Meanwhile, Rochester's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Montesano 1-0. That's two games straight that Rochester have won by just one goal.

Raymond/South Bend pushed their record up to 13-0-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 61 goals over those seven matchups. As for Rochester, their record now sits at 12-4-1.

Everything went Raymond/South Bend's way against Rochester in their previous meeting back in April, as Raymond/South Bend made off with a 5-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
