Lake Zurich got themselves on the board against Zion-Benton on Tuesday, but Zion-Benton never followed suit. They blew past the Zee-Bees 16-0. Considering the Bears have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Lake Zurich pushed their record up to 13-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Zion-Benton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Zurich will square off against Jacobs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Zion-Benton, they will take on Vernon Hills at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
