Recap: West Nassau Warriors vs. Stanton Blue Devils
The West Nassau Warriors's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Stanton on the road and fell 68-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Nassau in their matchups with Stanton: they've now lost five in a row.
West Nassau lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abagail Bailey, who scored 14 points. Tru Armstrong was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Stanton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Katharine Banerjea led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Banerjea has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gabrielle Fajardo, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
