A District 7 recap Oct. 30, 2012

Kiefer extended the longest winning streak in A District 7 this week by beating Barnsdall, 45-16. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.

Kiefer took down the Panthers 45-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Blake Shadowens ran for 185 yards in the win.

Josh Calvert's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Justin Rovang threw for 104 yards and Austin Ford had 50 yards receiving. Heath Brown helped Kiefer's passing attack out by catching two balls for 24 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Rovang and Trey Sneed the Trojans have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Rovang leads the league in passing with 677 yards, while Sneed has rushed for 859 yards this season. Yale's Devion Saunders leads the league in receiving yards with 333 on 18 catches.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Morrison takes on Kiefer. The Wildcats have allowed 114 points this season, while the Trojans have given up 51.

Hominy made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,313 from 11,833. The advance stemmed from a 30-16 victory over the Bulldogs last week.
