Basketball Recap: Durango Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Durango played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Farmington Scorpions, falling 68-38. The loss continues a trend for the Demons in their meetings with the Scorpions: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Durango saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taj Batiste posted 11 points. Kingston Kerlin was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Farmington's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Conner Neff, who earned nine points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayton Bizzell, who scored eight points and five rebounds.

Durango now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Farmington, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Durango wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 77-53 loss against Maryvale on the 13th. As for Farmington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-45 defeat against Volcano Vista on the 13th.
