Basketball Recap: Spencer County Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Spencer County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the North Oldham Mustangs 68-28. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Bears' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Mustangs are ranked 19th).

Spencer County's win was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for North Oldham, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.
