The Crosstown Explorers will venture away from home to square off against the Kingsbury Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crosstown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.5 goals per game this season.

Crosstown is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Lakeland Preparatory on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1. The loss put an end to Crosstown's undefeated start to the season.

Their goal came courtesy of Joan Marquez, who's now up to three this season.

Meanwhile, Kingsbury had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They blew past the Red Devils 7-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Kingsbury considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Kingsbury's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four contests. As for Crosstown, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1-1.

Crosstown couldn't quite get it done against Kingsbury when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can Crosstown avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
