Softball Preview: Georgetown Bulldogs vs. Dillon Wildcats
Georgetown is 1-9 against Dillon since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Georgetown Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Dillon Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Dillon took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Georgetown, who comes in off a win.
Georgetown not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11, 2024. They were the clear victor by a 13-4 margin over Lucy Beckham. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kylah Jordan made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. Jordan was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Harper Moore, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-5. Rylee Holcombe was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Dillon lost 14-4 to Chesterfield on Thursday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
