Fluvanna County is 8-2 against Western Albemarle since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Flying Flucos will welcome the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Fluvanna County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Fluvanna County's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Albemarle with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Flying Flucos have won seven games by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Western Albemarle hadn't done well against Orange County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warriors walked away with a 7-3 victory over the Fighting Hornets.

Katherine Heilman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jillie Clark was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Mary Kumer was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Fluvanna County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Western Albemarle, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Fluvanna County skirted past Western Albemarle 7-5 when the teams last played on Friday. Do the Flying Flucos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
