 South Adams entered their tilt with Central Noble with four consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with five. They never let the Central Noble Cougars onto the board and left with  a   5-0  victory  on Saturday.
 The result came thanks to  Addie Baker's shutout, as she gave up just six  hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
 At the plate, South Adams let  Macy Pries and  Shea Alberson loose on the outfield. Pries  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while  Alberson  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4. Pries is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.
 On Central Noble's side,  Grace Swank spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks.
 On the hitting side, Central Noble saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kensy Kimmell, who  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles.
 Even though they lost, Central Noble  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 14  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Adams only tossed nine.
 South Adams pushed their record up to 7-1 with that  win, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season. As for Central Noble, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 9-4.
 South Adams didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  game,  an  8-2  victory vs. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran on the 20th. As for Central Noble, they are on the road again  on Tuesday to play Churubusco at 5:30  p.m. Central Noble's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so Churubusco's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
