Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zane Snedaker and Traecyn Thaxton Lead Declo to Victory + How To Watch

Declo won the last time they faced Malad and things went their way on Friday too. The Hornets walked away with a 28-21 victory over the Dragons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hornets.

Leading Declo to victory were Traecyn Thaxton and Zane Snedaker. Thaxton threw for 281 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 14.1 yards per attempt, while Snedaker gained 223 total yards and a touchdown. Those 281 passing yards gave Thaxton a new career-high.

Loss or not, Malad got some senior leadership from Holdan Tubbs and Chase Martin. Tubbs rushed for 116 yards and one score, while Martin rushed for 68 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries. Tubbs has become a key player for the Dragons: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 1-3 otherwise.

Declo's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Malad, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Declo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-14 defeat against American Falls on the 24th. As for Malad, they have also already played their next game, a 40-8 loss against West Side on the 24th.
