Basketball Recap: Godwin Starts off Right with Win over Patrick Henry

Godwin took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They breezed by the Patrick Henry Patriots to the tune of 61-28. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Godwin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lakelyn Bostian, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Bella Ross, who went 6 for 7 on her way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Patrick Henry's loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Godwin has already played their next game, a 56-30 win against Midlothian on the 7th. As for Patrick Henry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-38 defeat against Louisa County on the 4th.
