Baseball Recap: Southern Nash Takes a Loss

Southern Nash fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hunt on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 4-1 to the Warriors. The Firebirds just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Southern Nash's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Hunt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Southern Nash will square off against Raleigh HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Firebirds' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Hunt, they will challenge South Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warriors 2.3, the Falcons 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
