Pendleton dropped down to 5-4 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were beaten by the Belton-Honea Path Bears 52-22. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Bears are ranked 26th).

Pendleton has already played their next game, a 28-21 defeat against Crescent on the 31st. As for Belton-Honea Path, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 62-7 victory against Walhalla on the 31st.
