Basketball Game Preview: Wausau East Lumberjacks vs. Merrill Bluejays

The Wausau East Lumberjacks will challenge the Merrill Bluejays at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wausau East's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Wausau East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Marathon 89-48 on Tuesday. The Lumberjacks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Merrill faced off against Northland Pines on Tuesday. Merrill received a blow as they fell 61-45 to Northland Pines. The Bluejays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wausau East's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Merrill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Wausau East was able to grind out a solid win over Merrill when the teams last played back in March, winning 60-52. Will Wausau East repeat their success, or does Merrill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
