Hickory extended their winning streak to six on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 11-7 in the process. They put the hurt on the Statesville Greyhounds with a sharp 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Tornadoes, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Statesville, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-12. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Statesville's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Harris, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
