Basketball Recap: Fleetwood's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Fleetwood won the last time they faced Hamburg, and Mason Senna did his part to make sure it happened again. The Fleetwood Tigers managed a 54-50 win over the Hamburg Hawks on Friday thanks in part to Senna, who went 8 for 15 en route to 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Fleetwood's points.

Despite the loss, Hamburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Andrew Arroyo went 7 of 15 on his way to 19 points and three steals. That's the most points Arroyo has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ty Werley, who posted 12 points in addition to seven assists and five boards.

With the victory, Fleetwood broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14. As for Hamburg, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9.

Fleetwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-37 loss against Quakertown on the 1st. Hamburg has also already played their next game (against Schuylkill Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
