Baseball Recap: Walkertown Comes Up Short

Walkertown has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.05 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came up short against the West Stokes Wildcats, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Wolfpack in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost nine in a row.

Walkertown's loss dropped their record down to 15-5. As for West Stokes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

West Stokes will face off against West Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Dragons will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Walkertown will be paying especially close attention to West Stokes' contest: after West Stokes faces off against West Davidson, they'll take on Walkertown again at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
