Softball Game Preview: Batavia Bulldogs vs. St. Charles East Fighting Saints

Batavia hasn't had much luck against St. Charles East recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fighting Saints at 4:30 p.m. Batavia will be strutting in after a win while St. Charles East will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Batavia turned things around against Geneva on Wednesday. They walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Vikings. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for St. Charles East's offense. They came up short against St. Charles North on Wednesday, falling 6-0. The Fighting Saints have struggled against the North Stars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

St. Charles East's defeat dropped their record down to 16-14. As for Batavia, their win bumped their record up to 7-19.
