Volleyball Game Preview: Chrisman Bears vs. Belton Pirates

Chrisman hasn't had much luck against Belton recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bears will be playing at home against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chrisman will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Truman, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bears put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

While Chrisman won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Belton beat Raymore-Peculiar 3-1 on Wednesday.

Belton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 27-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Chrisman's win bumped their record up to 14-17-1. As for Belton, their victory bumped their record up to 24-9.
