Basketball Game Preview: Navasota Rattlers vs. La Grange Leopards

Navasota has won four straight games at home, while La Grange has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Navasota Rattlers will host the La Grange Leopards at 7:15 p.m. Navasota knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully La Grange likes a good challenge.

Navasota is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Smithville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Navasota blew Smithville out of the water with an 83-16 final score. The Rattlers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, La Grange strolled past Caldwell with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 54-38. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while the Hornets are ranked 1347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Navasota is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for La Grange, their victory bumped their record up to 21-8.
