Basketball Recap: McLean County Comes Up Short

McLean County lost against Hopkins County Central back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The McLean County Cougars took a 63-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hopkins County Central Storm. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

McLean County's record is now 12-9. As for Hopkins County Central, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 6-12 record.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the McLean County Cougars face off against the Trigg County Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McLean County is facing Trigg County at the right time seeing as Trigg County is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Hopkins County Central, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-50 win against Hancock County on the 4th.
