Volleyball Recap: Middletown Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hamilton on Monday, Middletown Christian came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Wayne Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Middletown Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (107-106), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-16, 30-28, 11-25, 25-27, 15-11.

Middletown Christian's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Wayne, their victory ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.

Coming up, Middletown Christian will welcome Wyoming at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
