Soccer Recap: Pima Takes a Loss

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Pima and Willcox have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Wednesday. The Roughriders took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against Willcox this season, with their most recent loss being a 6-1 defeat last Wednesday.

Pima dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Willcox, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3-1.

Pima will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Augustine Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Willcox, they will take on Round Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Willcox will be up against Round Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.4 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
