Soccer Game Preview: Richlands vs. Swansboro

The Richlands Wildcats will challenge the Swansboro Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richlands is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Thursday, Richlands got the win against West Carteret by a conclusive 8-1. Considering Richlands have won seven games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting West Carteret from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Kamrey Watkins led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Swansboro kept a clean sheet against Croatan on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for Swansboro.

Swansboro's win bumped their record up to 6-2-4. As for Richlands, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1.

Richlands skirted past Swansboro 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
