Augusta Christian has gone 9-1 against Hammond recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Augusta Christian Lions will be playing at home against the Hammond Skyhawks at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Augusta Christian comes in on 14 and Hammond on five.

On Saturday, Augusta Christian earned an 86-75 victory over Fox Creek. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 17th in Georgia, while the Predators are ranked 80th in South Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hammond). They blew past Curtis Baptist 73-27 on Thursday. The Skyhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 21 points or more this season.

Augusta Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.0 points per game. As for Hammond, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.

Augusta Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Hammond when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 55-48. Will Augusta Christian repeat their success, or does Hammond have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
