Naselle faced Ocosta in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Comets' defense stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 40-0 shutout. Considering the Comets have won six games by more than 39 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Naselle's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points over those games. As for Ocosta, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
