Soccer Recap: Red Bank Takes a Loss

Red Bank was the 2-2 winner over East Ridge when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions fell just short of the Pioneers by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Red Bank have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Red Bank and nudges their season record down to 3-5-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-0-2 Soddy Daisy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 94.4% over those games). As for East Ridge, the win keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Red Bank is set to face off against their familiar foe Hixson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, East Ridge will square off against rival Soddy Daisy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. East Ridge are on a four-game streak of home wins, Soddy Daisy a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
