Basketball Game Preview: Leyden Eagles vs. Highland Park Giants

The Leyden Eagles will take on the Highland Park Giants at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Leyden is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since February 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They were beaten by Downers Grove North 42-10. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Eagles' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, Highland Park duked it out with Glenbrook South. in a Mythical Matchup on Thursday. Highland Park came up short against Glenbrook South, falling 65-45. The Giants haven't had much luck with the Titans recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Leyden's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.5 points over those games. As for Highland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.
