Soccer Recap: Valley Vista Find Success

Valley Vista's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Westwood Warriors. For the Monsoon, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.

Abby Slade and Veronica Rodriguez scored all three of Valley Vista's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

The victory got Valley Vista back to even at 3-3-1. As for Westwood, they dropped their record down to 3-5-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Valley Vista will be taking part in a tournament against Willow Canyon at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. Valley Vista is facing Willow Canyon at the right time seeing as Willow Canyon is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Westwood, they will be home for the holidays to greet Maryvale at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
