Basketball Recap: Vinton Wins Going Away Against Jeanerette

It's playoff time, and Vinton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Jeanerette Tigers with a sharp 69-46 victory on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Vinton pushed their record up to 22-16 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Jeanerette, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season.

Vinton will square off against White Castle on Friday. Jeanerette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
