Soccer Recap: Rolesville Comes Up Short

Rolesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Wakefield Wolverines, falling 6-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Wakefield this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-0 defeat back in April.

Josie McCulley and Kelcey Bennett scored both of Rolesville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 30 goals.

Rolesville's loss dropped their record down to 14-9-1. As for Wakefield, the win got them back to even at 8-8-3.

Looking ahead, Rolesville will square off against Franklinton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wakefield, they will take on Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Wakefield's offense will have their work cut out for them.
