Briarfield Academy has gone a perfect 6-0 against Union Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rebels are taking a road trip to challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Briarfield Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 45.2 points per game this season.

Briarfield Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another highly-ranked state team: Deer Creek, who was ranked eighth in their home state at the time (Briarfield Academy was ranked fourth). The Rebels blew past the Warriors 50-30 on Friday. That's two games straight that the Rebels have won by exactly 20 points.

Jack Woodall and Trecin Baker were among the main playmakers for Briarfield Academy as the former gained 134 total yards and three touchdowns and the latter gained 170 total yards and three touchdowns. Baker didn't just play on offense: he also made six total tackles and defended two passes. Davis Holt was another key player, throwing for 163 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes.

Another reason for the win was Briarfield Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Deer Creek's QB won't forget William Woodall anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, Union Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Claiborne Academy 58-18. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-18.

The victory made it two in a row for Briarfield Academy and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 20 points. As for Union Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Briarfield Academy against Union Christian Academy when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-0 win. Will the Rebels repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
