Volleyball Recap: Caitlin Beer and Meredith Hindbaugh Secure Win for Whitko

Whitko waltzed into their match on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies by a score of 2-0. The Wildcats were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Mustangs & Fillies, so the Wildcats were just returning the favor.

Leading Whitko to victory were Meredith Hindbaugh and Caitlin Beer. Hindbaugh had six digs, five kills, and two aces, while Beer had five digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Beer a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Whitko was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kouts only served six aces.

Whitko now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Kouts, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Whitko didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Glenn on the 13th. As for Kouts, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Bremen on the 13th.
